The game company Mimimi Games, known for making sneaky strategy games, is closing down. They just released a new game called “Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew” a little over a week ago. In this game, players control a group of cursed pirate legends who are trying to find their captain’s hidden treasure while sneaking around on big islands.
Mimimi Games became famous in the last ten years for making these kinds of games. They started by making a game about a balloon and another game about colorful cities. Then they partnered with other companies to make stealth games, like “Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun” and “Desperados 3.” Their latest game, “Shadow Gambit,” got good reviews, but sadly, they announced on Twitter that they’re closing down just a short time after releasing it.
They said the reason is that their team members were getting really tired from making bigger and fancier games, and they were also having money problems. Even though they’re closing, they promised to keep fixing and updating “Shadow Gambit.” It seems like they made this decision before the game even came out.
Fans of Mimimi’s games and sneaky games, in general, are sad about this news. They’re worried about what will happen to sneaky games now that Mimimi is closing. But there are other big game companies still making sneaky games, like Ubisoft with “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” and a new “Splinter Cell” game. There are also other famous games like “A Plague Tale,” “Metal Gear Solid,” and “Dishonored” that might keep the sneaky game style alive. However, it might be harder to find smaller games like the ones Mimimi made.
